TANEYTOWN LIONS BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
MEETING MINUTES
April 20, 2007

Present:  Jeff Bruchey, Danny Lewelling, Sheila Rosas, Kelly Cox, Richard Rosas, Chris Smith, Michael Stoner, Jeff Engel, Jim Brown, Angie Pickett

Jeff Bruchey called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.

OLD BUSINESS:

A.    Financial Report

The financial report was reviewed.  Unanimously accepted.  Danny Lewelling made a motion to approve the report as written.  Jeff Engel seconded the motion.

B.    Pepsi® Pitch, Hit & Run – Mike Stoner

        Mike reported that 128 kids participated in the Pitch, Hit & Run.  The Sectional Competition will be held on June 3^rd at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick.

C.    Dug-Outs – Jeff Bruchey

        The construction will begin on Monday, April 23, 2007.

NEW BUSINESS

A.         Field Usage – Jeff Bruchey

        Jeff instructed everyone that no one affiliated with the league will give or deny permission to use the facilities.

B.    Uniforms & Equipment – Jeff Bruchey & Jeff Engel

        A suggestion was made by Jeff Bruchey that trophies will not be handed out until all equipment is turned into the perspective coordinator.  Next season, equipment will not be handed out unless a representative from each team is provided for field maintenance.

C.    Snack Shack – Angie Pickett

        Angie distributed a paper requesting $1 from each player to help get the Snack Shack started.  A fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse will be held on Thursday, May 17^th.  Team Mom’s need to ask for volunteers for running the snack shack at all home games.  A new door knob is needed for the snack shack.

D.    Fundraising – Sheila Rosas

        Pizza fundraiser looking good.  Directions were not being followed for turning the fundraisers in.  Some fundraisers were late.  The pizza pick up day is being held on May 5^th.   Volunteers are needed.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.  The next meeting will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 7:00 at the Taneytown Senior Center
